Master of the Grill Campaign
The Master of the Grill Facebook campaign engaged Spanish-speaking BCBSIL and BCBSTX Facebook followers in a way that had never before been done by HCSC. Taking a cue from fans of their Latino pages who post and comment in a mix of Spanish and English, this campaign featured both languages intermingled on the same page. Fans surpassed client expectations by sharing unique recipes, ideas and techniques that are specific to Latino culture.

Insurance Shopping Guide
This award-winning shopping guide helped educate consumers on their insurance plan options.
Comments from the ClearMark Award of Distinctionjudges: “Many consumers who previously were confused about the new health insurance landscape should have some of their confusion cleared up after reading this guide. If I were in the market to purchase health insurance under the ACA, this guide would be a great start to help me figure out some basic questions. Plain language and information design create an easy-to-follow guide for people searching for health care. This entry is an example of how to use graphics and charts in a written document to communicate information. In some cases, the bars, charts and/or symbols alone were enough for me to comprehend the information – I didn’t need the text. The brochure speaks directly to the reader, defines terms right up front, uses headings, lists, graphs, common words and active voice, with excellent use of steps to help guide someone through the process. It is a superbly designed and written document for a challenging topic.”
Photo Challenge Campaign
Samples of the 52 Week Photo Challenge Campaign that I designed. The campaign was executed across Facebook and Twitter to promote user engagement.
Countdown to Summer Campaign
The Countdown to Summer Facebook campaign was designed to crowdsource ideas for “best of” summer lists. The campaign asked fans to submit their summer favorites, including music, vacations and treats.
The campaign was designed in Illustrator and developed through the use of Shoutlet. It was also mobile-optimized.

Non-profit Annual Report
Annual report I designed in January 2013 for a mid-size non-profit in Chicago.
After participating in a key messaging project with the Taproot Foundation, I learned that the agency's marketing was seen by the community as faceless and somber. Therefore, for this annual report, I wanted to focus on showing happy clients with bright, cheerful colors.
For this project, I came up with and developed a theme, wrote and edited all of the copy, hired and managed photographers (in addition to doing some of the photography myself), and completed all of the design and production work.
Non-profit Annual Report
Annual report that I designed for a mid-size non-profit in Chicago. My goal with this project was to transition the organization's marketing into a brighter, happier feel. Most of their materials were somber with limited photography. After participating in a strategic marketing and key messaging project with the Taproot Foundation, we decided to transition the marketing into a lighter color scheme and tone.
I completely managed the creation of this book, including coming up with and developing a theme, hiring and supervising photographers, keeping copywriters and editors on schedule, and of course, designing the final product.
